Dr. Marissa DeAngelis is a general and cosmetic dentist at Crozet Family Dental, where she provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages across Crozet, Charlottesville, and Albemarle County. Known for her gentle chairside manner, genuine warmth, and meticulous attention to detail, Dr. DeAngelis has quickly become a trusted fixture in the Crozet dental community.
A Californian by birth and Italian in heritage, Dr. D grew up in Northern Virginia and has always been drawn to the beauty of the Blue Ridge region. She is proud to call the Crozet area home and brings that same sense of community connection into her practice every day. Her goal is to help every patient become an active, informed team player in their own long-term oral health.

Dr. DeAngelis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg — and will always be a Hokie at heart. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, one of the most respected dental programs in the Commonwealth. She subsequently completed a General Practice Residency at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina, which gave her advanced training across the full scope of general dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr. D is an avid runner who regularly competes in 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons. She enjoys hiking, reading, and hosting dinners and game nights with friends. A vegetarian and animal lover, Dr. DeAngelis lives in Charlottesville with her husband, Jon, and their cat Mulan.
