Dr. Katerina Dalavurak, DMD
“Dr. Kat”
Dr. Kat. attended Brown University, which is where she majored in History of Art and Architecture. She then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2017.
Dr. Kat. grew up hearing all about different dental techniques and cases, having been at her mother’s practice since she was in high school, where she sorted paper records and watched her mother work. She loves working with patients to fix and care for their smiles, and takes a special interest in making sure all of those under her care meet their individual dental goals. As early as she can remember, she did crafts, made art, and was hands-on with projects. Today, she combines her passion for esthetics and healthcare to help those in her treatment chair truly smile. Tapping into her enjoyment of art and appreciation for rendering a practical good is extremely rewarding for her!
Throughout the years, she has continued to prioritize continuing education. As a result, she has her Invisalign® certification and has completed advanced course work on veneers, digital dentistry, BOTOX®, and more.
She’s also an active member of several professional organizations, including American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and SPEAR Education.
Away from the office, Dr. Kat enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two large cats. Her many interests outside of dentistry include practicing embroidery, drawing, taking HIIT gym classes, jogging, and making clothes. She moved to the area from Boston, MA, a city she enjoyed for its long cultural and political history. She’s been enjoying getting to know Central Virginia by taking day trips and visiting cultural and historical sites here!
